Equine Sports Massage
Massage is relaxing for the horse and has many effects on the vascular, muscular and the nervous system in the body.
About Me
I am a qualified Equine Sports massage Therapist and studied with the College Of Animal Physiotherapy.
I am a member of IAAT and fully insured.
I was previosly a Biomedical Scientist and worked for the Blood Transfion Service for 12 years. I have a Biomedical Science Bsc (Hons) degree and also Msc in Transfusion, Transplantation and Tissue Banking from Edinburgh University. This scientific background (anatomy, physiology, molecular biology) has definitely helped me when studying to be an equine massage therapist. I have been around horses for over 30 years and I am also a UKCC Level 2 coach with Horse Scotland and combining this with massage gives me a holistic approach to the horses way of going, care and movement. I have my own horse and love to compete at BE 80/90 level. I decided to do equine massage as I wanted to combine my science background with my love of horses.
